In 1980 Tim Hausmann began his insurance career with Hausmann-Johnson.  From the start, Tim made a significant personal investment in insurance by completing the 5 part Certified Insurance Counselor professional designation in 1987 in one year when the designation allows 5 years to complete the required courses.

In 2007, Tim completed the course requirement to earn the Certified Risk Manager designation.  Over the years he has attended numerous insurance and business seminars in addition to working closely with a variety of business consultants in and outside the industry.  He has held several positions at Hausmann-Johnson and currently serves as the firm’s Chairman of the Board.

After transferring from the University of Wisconsin, Tim graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York with a BA in Economics in 1976.  After a brief stint working in the oil fields in the North Sea, he went to work for Del Monte Foods in the sales department.  His sales background with Del Monte developed the skills required to provide an effective balance between personal and technical skill sets that have made him a valuable resource and consultant to his clients to this day.

A lifelong resident of Madison, his civic contributions include service in the village of Maple Bluff where he implemented the Village’s first recycling program.  He has also served as a director on several Boards and helped others with business development.  In his leisure, Tim enjoys running, biking, hiking, reading and most importantly life.  His life is fulfilled by Nancy, his wife and Philip and Julia, his children.
